A sustainable future?

I’ve seen a video of a talk by Alex Steffen, founder of Worldchanging.com did in 2007 on what changes can be done to improve a sustainable society:

I find many of his points extremely important, not to mention some of the examples he gives (car-share, green roofs, neo-biological design and a landmine detecting flower (!?) I need to do some research on this particular one, updates to come!). Alex Steffen’s talk is brief but a good reminder to all of us! As they say on their website: “Change your thinking” – http://worldchanging.com/

Greenpeace, BBC and SustainableStuff are a some of the places where you can find info on how to improve your daily routines and becoming more responsible about the environment. GreenSpec gives information on what materials to use for sustainable building design.

During our MACE programme we will open our own businesses and make them available to the public, it would be great if I could be involved in a project that considered these issues or was directly related to sustainable solutions. At least for my future job as a manager in the creative economies I wish to lead with a green mind and sustainable development will be in my focus.
